easyI am wasting no time getting into the fall recipes starting with these Crispy spiced Apple Waffles with salty Maple Butter. A great weekend breakfast. These waffles stay pretty crisp, so you can eat them the next day with that salty maple butter and they’ll be just as good
Ingredients
1 tbs lemon juice
2 cups milk
2 apples
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbs brown sugar
2 cups flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 cup cornstarch

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and soda, 2 tbs brown sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and 1/2 tsp salt. whisk to combine.
Step 2
In another mixing bowl, combine the milk, vegetable/canola oil, vanilla extract, and eggs. whisk well to combine.
Step 3
Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture, and pour the milk mixture in. whisk the wet into the dry until just combined. set aside until ready to use.
Step 4
Turn your waffle iron on to high. while it is preheating, make the apple filling. combine all of the ingredients for the apple filling in a small bowl and stir until the brown sugar has melted.
Step 5
Add about a tsp of butter to the hotel waffle iron, and sprinkle it with about a tbs of brown sugar (optional). pour 3-4 tbs of waffle batter on to the waffle iron, then dollop the batter with 1-2 tbs of the apple mixture. cover with another 1-2 tbs of waffle batter and close the waffle iron. cook for about 4-6 minutes. repeat until the batter is finished.
Step 6
While the waffles are cooking, prepare the maple butter. in a mixing bowl, add all the of ingredients for the maple butter. using and electric mixer, whip on medium high until the maple has been fully incorporated, and the butter is light in color and fluffy. serve the waffles warm with maple butter.
