Ingredients
2 medium potatoes peeled and diced
2 cups allpurpose flour
vegan butter or oil for frying
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
1 small onion finely chopped
Instructions
Step 1
Mix flour, salt, and warm water to form a dough. let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Boil and mash the potatoes. sauté onion and mushrooms in oil until golden. season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Roll out the dough and fill with mashed potatoes, onion, and mushroom mixture. seal the dumplings.
Step 4
Boil the dumplings for 5-7 minutes until they float.
Step 5
Serve hot with your favorite sauce or dip, usually we serve it with sour cream, but in this recipe i used whipped silky tofu and fried onion on top.
