Beef Stroganoff with Buttery Mash

A seared golden beef strip smothered in creamy velvety sauce. Only takes 30 minutes to cook.

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

1 cup beef broth

1 cube butter

1 medium onion sliced

1/4 cup of flour

2 tbsp sour cream

2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

5/6 mushroom sliced

beef steak cut in strips

3 garlic minced or diced

1/2 cup of heavy cream

salt and pepper to taste

1 tbs dijon mustard

Instructions

Step 1

Coat the beef strip with salt and pepper

Step 2

In a pan on a medium heat add oil

Step 3

Add beef strip and cook until golden brown

Step 4

Remove from the pan

Step 5

In the same pan add butter, onion and garlic and sauté for 1.5/ 2 minutes

Step 6

Add mushrooms followed by mustard, worcester sauce, sour cream cook for further 1 minute before adding flour.

Step 7

Add heavy cream and mix well

Step 8

Add in the cooked beef strips

Step 9

Cook for further 3 minutes on low heat

Step 10

Serve with buttery mash

Garnish with chives
